1. Our Commitment
We use cookies and similar technologies only as described here: to keep the Site working, remember your cookie choice, remember that the first-visit cover already ran in this browser tab, and — if you Accept — show an embedded map of our Denver office on the Contact page.
2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files a website may place on your computer, tablet, or phone. They help sites work, remember choices, and (on some sites) measure traffic.
We also use similar technologies:

santillan_bootso the first-visit limestone cover does not replay on every page in the same tab. - Server logs — IP address, browser type, and request times used for security and diagnostics.
- Web beacons / pixels — we do not currently place a marketing pixel. If we add one later, this policy will be updated.
References to "cookies" in this policy include these similar technologies where they apply.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly necessary (essential)
Needed for the Site to function, including storing whether you clicked Accept or Decline and whether the first-visit cover already ran in this tab. You can block them in the browser, but then the banner may keep appearing, the cover may replay, and some features may fail.
3.2 Performance and analytics
We do not currently run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar marketing analytics on this Site. If we add a measurement tool later, we will describe it here and, where required, tie it to your consent choice.
3.3 Functional
After you Accept, we load an embedded Google Map on the Contact page so you can see our Denver office address. Headings and body type use Barlow Condensed and Outfit files we host ourselves. They do not load from Google Fonts.
3.4 Third-party / content
Embedded maps may cause Google to set its own cookies or process a technical request (IP address, user agent). We do not control those cookies. Google's privacy policy applies. Self-hosted font files do not call Google.

5. How We Use Cookies
- operate and secure the Site;
- remember your Accept or Decline choice so the banner does not return every page load;
- remember that the first-visit cover already ran in this tab;
- load the Contact map only after Accept;
- serve typefaces from our own files;
- diagnose errors using ordinary server logs;
- comply with legal duties and reduce fraud.
We do not use cookies on this Site to build an advertising profile or to sell lists of visitors.
6. Third-Party Services
Third parties may set cookies or process technical data when their files load:
- Google Maps — embedded on Contact after Accept, showing 3300 W Florida Ave Apt 95, Denver, CO 80219. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps terms.
- Square — only if you open a card invoice we send. Square is not loaded on this Site. See Square's privacy notice.
Read each provider's policy for how they retain logs. We cannot turn off Google's processing once a map iframe has been made.
7. Consent and Cookie Banner
On a first visit (or after you clear this Site's data), a banner appears with a short notice, a link to this policy, and two buttons: Decline and Accept.
- Accept stores
santillan_cookie_consent=1and, on Contact, sets the map iframe to Google Maps. - Decline stores
santillan_cookie_consent=0. The map does not load. The rest of the Site stays available.
Closing the tab without clicking either button does not store a choice; the banner will show again on the next visit. There is no "dismiss without choosing" control.
Clearing cookies and site data for santillanus.us (or for localhost while you preview the Site) resets the choice and the banner returns.
8. Your Choices and Controls
- Banner — Accept to enable the map; Decline to keep it off.
- Change your mind — clear this Site's data in your browser, reload, and choose again. We do not currently offer a separate "cookie settings" panel beyond Accept / Decline.
- Browser settings — block or delete cookies and site data. Some pages may then look wrong or repeat the banner.
- Do Not Track — we do not respond to DNT signals in a standardized way. Use the banner and browser controls instead.
9. Analytics and Advertising
We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar marketing or advertising pixels on this Site. There is nothing extra to opt out of here. If we add a measurement tool later, we will describe it in this policy and, where required, tie it to your consent choice.
10. Do Not Sell or Share
SANTILLAN CONSTRUCTION INC does not sell personal information collected through cookies. We do not share cookie data for cross-context behavioral advertising. See our Privacy Policy.

We may update this policy if we add analytics, change map or font providers, or the law changes. The new version is posted here with a revised "Last Updated" date. A material change may also be reflected in the banner text.
